The plot is a dangerous undertaking. It's a complex meander and there are so many places where it could just go bottom up and crash!
Yet it doesn't. The theme is maintained excellently throughout, the excitment levels never fail, and the viewer will be left sitting on the edge of their seat the whole way through, being taken for a ride to the top of a skyscraper with its accompanying fall , to the late 's, the top of a rocket about to go into space, and many other hair raising scenarios!
We meet some of the colourful personalities of the era, along with other extra terrestrial ones , and get a feel for just how zany this time was.
The acting levels are brilliant as ever, with the inclusion of Josh Brolin's contribution, which was superb.
He talks about how hard he worked becoming K's younger self studying carefully his mannerisms, and the effort was well worth it. He's almost the same person.
I love to see the actors thoroughly enjoying their roles, it bespeaks the quality of the script and their input, and enhances the whole film.

My friends say that "Men in Black III" is a brainless comedy, you can go in just for a few laughs and switch your brain off. After watching it, I can safely say that I have another opinion.
It can be politically incorrect too, but it is entertaining and fun to watch. Special effects are realistic, and the scene involving a very tall building made me so nervous that my palms perspired a lot!
The ending is very touching; I certainly did not see it coming even though a friend guessed it. I think it is great that "Men in Black III" manages to combine emotional elements in the middle of mainstream blockbuster entertainment.

For these "Mastered in 4k" discs to work, they have to use an immaculate master to start with. Now the standard Men in a Black 3 Blu Ray is immaculate and looks stunning whereas this Mastered in 4k Men in Black looks soft, grainy, noisy and no more impressive than any other Blu Ray I've seen.
I know Men in Black is the oldest of these movies, but if they can make a 's Bond Movie or Laurence of Arabia look pristine, then this shows a lazy approach and does the Mastered in 4k line no favours.
Collect the others by all means, but if you're looking for a stunning image, you'll be disappointed with this one. This first and best outing of MIB was something new was sci-fi but not as we know it.
It takes the tabloid stories and turns them on their head by starting form the point that they were true and not made up hyped. What let it down is that it tries stretch the joke too far and too long.
It repeat itself and goes too far so that is stops been funny and the plot is literally lost. A shame as it could have been a really great film not just a good one.

I was always pretty impressed with the DVD quality and the extras, not overloaded with them but a sprinkling none the less. Picture I think had full frame if not it's as with pretty much all films.
Picture and sound are both improved over the DVD Blacks look much crisper and deeper, more vibrant colours all round. Maybe my only criticism which is why I didn't give it full stars is I feel they could have made better use of the surround sound in places.
